SeaPort EnhancedSeaPort Enhanced is an extension of the current SeaPort procurement vehicle used at NAVSEA and is the electronic, Web-based portal where all requests for services are managed. This "paperless" system promotes time efficiency and a reduction in administrative costs. The SeaPort Enhanced Multiple Award Contract (MAC) spans twenty-two Functional Areas including Engineering, Financial Management, Program Management, and Professional Support. The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corp, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) compete their service requirements amongst 1800+ SeaPort-e IDIQ multiple award contract holders. Small businesses comprise nearly 85% of the awards for SeaPort Enhanced. MSIS is a small business Seaport-e prime contractor incorporated in West Virginia; with our teaming partners we can perform in all of the Seaport-e zones, and as a a prime, we can perform in Zone 2 - National Capital Zone, Zone 5 - Midwest Zone, and Zone 6 - Southwest Zone. This contract was initially awarded in 2004 as a five year contract with two five-year options. MSIS was awarded the first of these two option periods in 2009. Seaport-e provide services that potentially span the entire spectrum of mission areas supported by the activities and technical capabilities that comprise the various ordering offices. Additionally, activities may provide limited support under this contract to other Department of Defense (DoD), non-DoD, or Joint agencies for work that is integrally related to product areas and mission.
